You've heard about it on the TV. As part of the government's economic stimulus plan, they are giving away up to $8000 on the purchase of a home to buyers who have not owned a home in the past three years. And my CPA has told me that you CAN use this money with owner-financing. Basically, I will sell my house to you with a land-contract with an agreement that you the buyer will apply for the tax credit to use as your down-payment. You start making your monthly payments, move in and continue making payments, get your money from the government in a few weeks, pay your down-payment and keep part of the money for yourself based on our agreement.
